Shooting Incident Due to Social Media Dispute
A shooting incident happened at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta on Saturday over a dispute on social media. The Atlanta Police Department said that it led to the death of two teenagers while several other individuals got injured.
Atlanta Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. in a media briefing told the reporters on Saturday evening that a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were identified dead after gunfire escalated at the apartment. They did not reveal the names of these due to their age.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old boy were transported to the hospital after they got injured. The Deputy Chief did not mention the condition of the victims but one of them was grazed by a bullet, according to a published report in ABC News.

Atlanta Deputy Chief Released a Statement
Atlanta Deputy Chief Hampton Jr. said that a group of individuals who were armed arrived at the apartment where an argument began inside around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. However, they cannot yet identify the number and identities of the shooters.
He said, “I hate being here, talking about kids and gunfire. It’s just too many guns in the hands of our youth,” He also added, “This should be a time that we are getting ready for the holidays. We have at least two families that will be planning for funerals.”
