Three alleged gang members were charged with killing a 5-year-old girl in a drive-by shooting incident in California.
5-Year-Old Girl Killed by Alleged Gang Members
Eliyanah Crisostomo, 5 years old, was hit by gunfire coming from alleged gang members. The incident happened Saturday while her family was driving along Interstate 880 near Milpitas for dinner, Fox News reported.
According to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, the bullet struck the heart of the 5-year-old girl as she sat next to her brother.
District Attorney Pamela Price said in a news release that her heart goes out to Eliyanah’s family. She condemn the incident and called the gang members’ behavior absolutely unacceptable. She stated no young children should die on Bay Area freeways

Three Alleged Gang Members Charged
Prosecutors said that three alleged gang members are charged in the killing of a 5-year-old girl in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The suspects were identified by authorities as Humberto Anaya, Kristo Ayala Valderrama, and Emmanuel Sarango. Prosecutors said that the suspects are alleged gang members of the Fremont Sureño gang.
According to the investigation, authorities say that the three suspects believed that Eliyanah’s family is driving a rival gang car. They then flashed their gang symbols and started opening gunfire, targeting the child’s family car.
The three suspected gang members, Anaya, Valderrama, and Sarango are each charged with one count of murder and seven counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle. It was not immediately clear whether suspected gang members had attorneys who could speak on their behalf.
After the shooting incident, the suspected gang members’ red Honda Accord was found in Santa Cruz, and were taken into custody.
Prosecutors said that the suspected gang members are also suspects in a separate shooting in Fremont on Saturday which is about 10 miles north of Milpitas. They allegedly fired at a victim but missed hitting him.
