Pennsylvania Doctor Sentenced of 6 Years Imprisonment for Providing Illegal Prescription

Dr. Richard Alan Kondan, a doctor from Doylestown, has been accused of issuing patients illegal opioid prescriptions.

At the Bucks County Justice Center on Monday, Dr. Richard Alan Kondan was brought to Judge Gary B. Gilman. The 59-year-old doctor is charged with prescribing highly addictive and risky opioid medications.

According to the study, Kondan raised his patients’ oxycodone dosages without diagnosing any illnesses in them. Additionally, he recommended deadly drug combinations that put the lives of all of his patients at risk.

Dr. Kondan was given a sentence of two to six years in jail with 200 hours of community service as a condition of his parole, according to the Bucks County District Attorney.

The doctor was the subject of an investigation by the Bucks County Detectives Drug Strike Force, and the Bucks County Investigating Grand Jury made the allegations.
