Beto O’ Rourke is a famous American Politician. Gov. Greg Abbott; a Republican, won the mid-term Texas Elections and secured a third term defeating Beto O’ Rourke; a Democrat. The win is a golden chance for the governor to fulfill his desire of reopening businesses which was restricted due to the Covid-19 emergency disaster declaration. The win also glorified the future of the governor as the win set up Abbott for a 2024 Presidential run, though it’s not confirmed if Abbott will fight for the Presidential run or wants to pursue the White House.
Beto O’ Rourke campaigned for providing Abortion Rights and Gun Control but with a motto of securing the future of Texas. With his loss in the 2020 Presidential Elections, Beto O’ Rourke was denied of rifles. His continued loss in back-to-back three elections made his party weak and thus he lost his voters. The results are proof that the democrats have always failed in the Statewide race since 1994.

Greg Abbott’s motto of the campaign was the border security and economic stability of the state. ‘Expect Abbott to continue to pour money into border security, look for ways to cut budgets as economic unrest persists, and steer state money toward school voucher programs, per his campaign pledges. But whether he’d sign into law any rape or incest exception to Texas’ near-total abortion ban is a question he has avoided answering,’ wrote Axios.

Beto O’ Rourke full name Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke born 26 Son September 1972, is an American Politician who served as the U.S. representative for Texas’s 16th congressional district from 2013 to 2019. Beto is a member of the Democratic Party and was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2018 and for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, and was the Democratic nominee for the 2022 Texas gubernatorial election, which he lost yesterday.
In one of his US Senate Elections, he fought against the Republican Ted Cruz. Though he lost the seat with a margin of 2.6% votes but claimed a record of getting the highest vote as a Democrat in a midterm election in Texas. Beto O’ Rourke announced his candidacy in the 2020 United States presidential election on 14th March 2019 but had to suspend his campaign on November 1, 2019, due to a lack of traction and financial issues.
Beto O’ Rourke inherited the political aspiration from his dad. Beto is born into a political family and followed his dad in political campaigns during his childhood. His dad Pat was a very outspoken person but Beto was a shy child. Beto O’ Rourke once recalled, “I was an awkward and shy kid, so it was the last thing I wanted to do, but now I can look back and bless my experience in it.” Beto’s mother also said, “Interestingly, his father was involved politically in El Paso growing up, and Beto would go to events…but I never saw Beto engaged with that arena.” Eventually, he developed his interest in politics.
