The Westside units of the Houston Police Department received a call of a shooting-in-progress and dispatched officers to the vicinity of a shooting incident at an apartment complex in the 10600 block of Beechnut Street in southwest Houston around 2:55 p.m. Saturday.
HPD said two people were wounded and transported to a local hospital. Police said the two people may have been shooting at each other. Officers said that as per preliminary investigations, there was a commotion and multiple shots were fired. They also clarified that though the reports said there were five shooting victims, they only found two victims and multiple casings.
Later updates from the HPD said the two are safe and stable, though there weren’t any reports about where and how they sustained their injuries, Click 2 Houston reported.

The Houston police are asking everyone to steer clear of the area as active investigations are still going on.
