This March, Social Security recipients will get two payments. The check will be distributed early on March 31 because April 1 falls on a Saturday. In 33 states, beneficiaries can also receive an additional $120.
For qualified individuals, the maximum payout is $914, and for eligible couples, it is $1,371, according to The US Sun.
The SS payment is released once every month. But, in exceptional circumstances, such as this year’s March, it will be sent twice a month. Moreover, June, September, and December are anticipated.
When the first of the month falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, the payment date is advanced to the next available working day. Another category of beneficiaries receives double payments because they get both Social Security and Supplemental Support Income.
According to official data, the average monthly Social Security payout in January 2023 for all benefit types was $1,961. All SSI recipients received an average payment of $677 as of January 2023. This year, the limit was raised to $914 for single people and $1,371 for couples.

No Social Security Payment in April, July, or October 2023
SSI recipients receive two SSI payments in the months of March, June, September, and December, but not in the months of January, April, July, or October.
The added sum might be viewed as a payment advance for the next month. In the event that recipients don’t receive their payments on time, the Social Security Administration recommended three more mailing days before calling.
Direct deposit schedules are determined by the bank, and payments typically appear on the anticipated date.
Individuals must have no more than $2,000 in assets to be eligible for SSI, while couples may have up to $3,000 in assets. For SSDI, the average claimant’s monthly income cap is $1,350.
