Hit-and-Run and Carjacking Shooting Incident
In a horrific hit-and-run carjacking incident on Yorkchester Drive in Houston on Tuesday morning a 67-year-old woman lost her life according to ABC13. Houston police are currently searching for the two men who shot and killed the victim before stealing her white 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV and running her over as they fled the scene. Witnesses reported seeing the victim being shot in her car and then thrown out of the vehicle by the assailants.
The incident occurred near the Spring Branch ISD’s Westchester Academy for International Studies, and nearby schools were briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution. Videos of the SUV leaving the scene were captured by witnesses, and one neighbor described the scene as chaotic. There were also reports of police responding to a family dispute at the victim’s apartment complex over the weekend, although it is unclear whether the two incidents were related.
