Townspeople In A Frenzy
Almost 14 people were arrested in North Texas regarding a commercial sex sting operation in Southlake and Frisco.
A very young pastor, a high school teacher, a football coach, and a director of a massive hospital network were charged with this heinous crime. The entire town is shaken and people are struggling with their words. Once deemed so respectful and honorable, the people involved in this crime have left everyone speechless. These 4 were amongst the 46 men arrested in an intensive undercover sex sting operation that took place this month in Southlake and Frisco. The news was announced by local and federal authorities.
Around 10 law enforcement agencies came together to make this operation successful on the 12th and 13th of January at the Hilton at Southlake Town Square and Hyatt near Stonebriar Centre in Frisco. The men mentioned above who were abrasively caught red-handed had arranged to meet over at these hotels in order to pay for sex.
Police officials haven’t brought out any names of the arrests they have made so far. The men who have been caught will face charges for prostitution, a felony that’s pretty huge in Texas and can get you in prison for 2 years with a fine of $10,000.
Criminalizing Sexual Exploitation
Agent John Perez who manages the North Texas Trafficking Task Force said that when people think of trafficking, they think of streets in Dallas or Forth Worth but apparently there are a lot of them in the suburbs as well. This actually is the second most widened-out commercial sex sting operation in North Texas. Back in September, police had arrested 23 people with the same charges in Plano.
Agencies such as the Arlington, Colleyville, Dallas, Flower Mound, Frisco, Irving, and Midlothian police departments, Collin County, Dallas County, and Tarrant County sheriff’s departments, and the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office were lined up altogether to make sure this operation saw the light of the day and was a huge success. It surprisingly took place at the same time as Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign to emphasize Human Trafficking Prevention Month which is January itself.
The victims of these crimes are made use of as objects, to bank out as much money as plausible and the culprits are nothing but garbage on the face of Earth. U.S. Senator who goes by the name John Cornyn, quite recently co-wrote legislation to bring back to effect, the Abolish Human Trafficking Act, which provides hundreds of thousands of dollars to law establishments and organizations to fight sexual exploitation. The law has been brought into effect since 2018.
