The Zavala County Sheriff’s Office reported that a motorist from Texas was detained when sheriff’s officers discovered a lady and a child in the trunk of the car during a traffic stop.
East of La Pryor is where the event happened on Saturday night. According to deputies, the driver was initially stopped for a traffic infraction. But after more research, a deputy instructed her to open the trunk of her car.
They discovered a mother inside with a young child at that point. The unnamed driver is accused of smuggling people under the age of 18 and people with a high chance of committing serious bodily injury.
The car has subsequently been seized by the authorities, and border patrol is now in charge of the mother and child.

Recent Case of Human Trafficking in Texas
Recently, Texas police were given a high-speed chase by a 15-year-old Mexican teenager operating a sedan loaded with seven illegal immigrants before all the suspects reportedly got out and fled, according to the authorities.
The thrilling chase, which ended less than a mile from the US border in Mission, Texas, was captured on dashcam video that was made available by officials on Saturday.
On highways and local roads in Hidalgo County, the unlawful teenage driver propelled a Chevrolet at high speeds as troopers pursued him, according to the video. The seven passengers were discovered to be in the country illegally after authorities caught up with all of the suspects, as per to Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers.
They were reported to Border Patrol agents, who took them to jail and accused the unnamed driver of smuggling and fleeing arrest, reported by authorities.
A 15-year-old and a 12-year-old who were thought to be smuggling people crashed a car outside of San Antonio earlier this month as they evaded police. The illegal immigrant they were transporting was seriously hurt in the accident.
