A man is indicted of stabbing his 8- year-old grandson to death. 62 years old, Phillip Hughes, was arrested on Sunday, according to The Richland Hills Police Department.
Cops said they were called out on Sunday about a chick being picked. The suspect — his own grandfather, Hughes was set up hard and arrested, police claim. But the boy was seen with no sign of life at the scene. Officers didn’t name the child.
“January 1, 2023, at about 7:50 am, Sunday, Richland Hills Police and Fire Departments received an incident of stabbing and were dispatched at a hearthstone in the 3500 block Labadie Drive in Richland Hills, Texas “Bordering police and fire agencies also responded to help.”
Police say the disquisition is ongoing, but they don’t presently suppose anyone differently is involved. They didn’t incontinently release information on an alleged motive. “The 62-year-old suspect, Phillip Hughes, who has been linked as the grandfather of the victim, was found near the hearthstone by officers and taken into police custody without incident,” officers said.
“The suspect was sent to the North Richland Hills Police Department at Joint Detention Center where he’s being held for Capital Murder and awaiting for arraignment. ”
