36-Year-Old Michael Barajas Crime: Threatened a Woman After Trafficking Her
Michael Barajas, a 36-year-old man allegedly threatened a woman after trafficking and assaulting her. The Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson said that during the event of thanksgiving, Michael Barajas, the suspect, had a view of a 20-year-old woman, the victim, walking on the street.
According to a published post by True Crime Daily, the reports showed that the victim had recently been kicked out of their home and could not take a shower. Barajas then took advantage of the situation, he asked if the girl needs a ride, and he even offered to give the woman a nice bath, food, and warmth.

The suspect reportedly took the victim to a house where she was tied and barricaded to a bed. Barajas and a few other suspects locked the woman in the room and then shut the windows out so she could not get out. The report says the woman was sexually assaulted a lot of times and was trafficked by different men.
The victim tried to escape three times yet failed. The nurse who took care of the lady said that she suspected she was trafficked so she immediately rang the Sherriff’s office’s G.H.O.S.T program. The worse news is that the woman is pregnant. Barajas admitted the victim was trafficked and that if “she didn’t do everything that he told her, he would bite her neck and rip her throat”
Court records showed that Barajas has been charged with human trafficking, kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, assault with a dangerous weapon, and more.
