Texas is preparing to thwart a horde of illegal migrants converging on the southern U.S. trying to enter the country, reports Fox News
Greg Abbott, Governor of the southern state, tweeted a video on Saturday that showed Texas National Guard Humvees on standby in response to many migrants gathering at the southern border.
Abbott tweeted: “Texas National Guard is gearing up at the border for increased caravans attempting to cross the border caused by Biden’s open border policy. They are working with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety to seal surge locations at the border & arrest trespassers.”

In a similar tweet on September 28, Abbott wrote: “Texas National Guard surge transports tactical vehicles to the border. The @TexasGuard continues to surge equipment & personnel to the Texas border to provide more support to address Biden’s ongoing crisis. Texas is securing the border.”
This is in response to a huge caravan made of migrants on the Texas border with Mexico.
Texas National Guard is in the process of increasing the number of personnel at the border by deploying around 2,500 soldiers.”
The Governor wants to stop illegal immigration, human trafficking, and illegal drugs entering the U.S.,” said Tracy Norris, Adjutant General. Texas Military Department and commander, Texas National Guard.”
More troops at the border are needed in the wake of what happened there in the last couple of weeks, and it will help troops already deployed there,” Norris said.
About Abbott’s plan to build a fence on the border, Norris said, “It will slow down people trying to enter and give us more time to respond quickly to places from where people are trying to cross over. Technology plays a vital role in faster detection of people trying to get in illegally.”
