2 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured In Bahama Fight That Ended In Triple Shooting: Dallas Police

Two people, a man and a woman, reportedly died while another man was seriously injured after a fight that broke out in a parking lot of an apartment complex in West Oak Cliff ended in gunfire, early Saturday.

According to Dallas Police, three people were involved in a fight that ended up in a shooting incident in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Bahama Drive, west of Hampton Road.

Authorities said that the officers were dispatched  just around 3.10 a.m. after they received reports of a shooting incident in the area, Fox News reported.

The fight involved a 22-year-old woman, identified as Nancy Pahola Gomez Agustin, a 27-year-old Latin man named Rolando Benitez, and another a 22-year-old Latin male whose name has not been revealed.

The police reports said that Agustin had been sitting in a car with the 22-year-old man, when Benitez drove up and caused a disturbance. He then pulled out a gun and shot Agustin to death. The 22-year-old man reportedly defended the woman, and exchanged fire with Benitez. Both had sustained gunshot wounds during the exchange.

According to the investigators, Agustin was pronounced dead on the scene. Benitez also died on site. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old man was later taken to a local hospital in critical condition after sustaining serious injuries.

Police have not revealed more information about the injured man’s condition. They were unclear about what started the encounter or how the victims and the suspect knew each other. They also did not reveal the motive and circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting incident, ut the promised to give more information as the investigation advances.

Dallas Police also said that they are continuing their investigation on the triple shooting incident on Bahama Drive. The offense is documented on case number 164615-2021.
