A Head-on Collision in N Harris County Killed a Woman and Left The Daughter in a Serious State

Houston, Texas – At around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, an accident took place at Ella Boulevard and FM 1960. According to officials, a 15-year-old girl is injured and in a critical state after an accident in north Harris County. The crash killed the girl’s mother and also caused a critical injury to another driver.

The mother and her 15-year-old girl were driving northbound on Ella when they tried to prevent hitting a pickup vehicle coming out of a subdivision, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office report.

According to investigations, the woman managed to escape striking the vehicle but lost grip of her vehicle.

According to the sheriff’s office, she allegedly tried to cross the center lane and accelerated into moving cars in the southbound lanes before colliding head-on with a Chevrolet Equinox pulled by a lady.

The mother driving the Kia died and the rest were critically injured

The lady was reported to be 60-years-old. She was taken to a local hospital in a critical state, according to authorities.

The woman who was driving the Kia died then and there on the spot. As per the deputies, her daughter was also transferred to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight and is in a serious situation.

The officials are conducting an investigation on the case

Police are looking for CCTV footage to help them find out what happened. Authorities are also looking for the driver of a white Chevrolet pickup truck that was approaching the area at the time, around Ella Crossings and Ella.
