American singer-songwriter Jason Aldean and his wife are under fire after the latter promoted anti-Biden merchandise. Amid the controversy, the singer released a statement later saying he would never apologize for his beliefs.
The Row
Aldean’s wife, Brittany, took to Instagram recently to post photos of herself and their two children wearing anti-Biden apparel. The children wore shirts that had the words “Hidin’ from Biden” printed on them. On the other hand, Brittany wore a shirt that said, “Anti Biden Social Club.” Many people criticized her for the post.
The merchandise came from a website called DaddyT45, a reference to former U.S. President Donald Trump. The website sells both pro-trump and anti-Biden clothing, and it also sells an entire clothing line to show that a person is not vaccinated against COVID-19, Fox News reported.
Not The First Time To Be Criticized
This is not the first time Brittany was criticized for posting pro-Trump posts. Around the 2020 election, when Trump was questioning his loss against President Joe Biden, the singer’s wife took to Instagram to show a photo of her wearing a sweatshirt that reads “STILL MY PRESIDENT.” Many commented that she was promoting misinformation about the results.
Jason Aldean’s Response To The Latest Backlash
Jason Aldean also posted a photo of himself on Instagram after his wife was criticized. He shared a photo of himself performing on stage with a giant screen illuminated with the American flag as his background in the snap. The photo was taken during his performance in Phoenix, Arizona, last week for his “Back in the Saddle Tour.”
Alongside the photo, he wrote the caption, “I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country. This is the greatest country in the world, and I want to keep it that way. #unapologetic #phoenixwasfire.” Many supported Aldean and his stance as some of the comments said they were happy someone is standing up for Americans, that they have nothing but respect for Aldean, and that they need more people like the singer-songwriter who stands up for what he believes in.
