The Most Romantic Restaurants in Dallas
In recent years, Dallas has exploded onto the gastronomic spotlight with a diverse mix of award-winning restaurants and bold, new flavors.
Dallas was chosen the greatest “Restaurant City of the Year” in 2019 by Bon Appétit. The streets are lined with upmarket cafés and restaurants.
So, where do you and your significant other fits in? Since it’s said that the road to a person’s heart is via their stomach, this Southern city could be the hottest destination for earning relationship brownie points.
We’ve also included a map of these and other nearby restaurants, so you can easily incorporate dinner plans into your touring agenda. Here are our recommendations for the best romantic restaurants in Dallas, without further ado.
Bullion
Bullion has won honors for everything from their wine list to their pastries, so you can be confident that everything you buy will be outstanding.
The duck is delicate, and the mille-feuille is the best method to fulfill your sweet taste by a long shot.
Thanks to Bullion’s unique architecture, warm, European ambiance, and exceptional French food, any supper here will feel like a special occasion.
As the name suggests, the dining area is decorated with gold touches, and everyone who brings their special someone here will be golden.
The French Room
If you’ve ever fantasized about dining in an ornate, centuries-old French palace, this is a close second. A superb dining destination awaits you in the renowned Hotel Adolphus, where you’ll feel as if you’ve been whisked away into a storybook.
The French Room’s five-course meal with wine pairings is an outstanding night if you want to go all out. It will make you feel as though you are in Paris.
Spend some time looking through The French Room Salon’s modern art collection, which showcases only artists with strong ties to Texas.
Uchi
There aren’t many sushi masters in America, but Tyson Cole, the owner, and chef of Uchi, is one of them.
Cole now ranks near the top of practically every list of the best sushi restaurants in the United States, thanks to more than a decade of training.
Uchi offers a wide variety of hot and cold taste plates, so ordering multiple items and indulging in them all at once is the best plan. Few things draw people closer together than a delicious shared meal.
The rustic, wood-paneled environment and mesmerizing movements of the professional sushi chefs behind the glass bar add to the romantic ambiance.
Dragonfly at Hotel Zaza
Dragonfly at Hotel Zaza is a strong contender for any list of Dallas’ most romantic restaurants, emphasizing bold art and delectable cuisine.
Dragonfly serves both a restaurant and a nightlife attraction, with an atmosphere that is more cabaret than business casual.
The European decor, bare-bulb lighting suspended from the ceiling, and ample outdoor space give this location a distinctly cool vibe.
Sip specialty cocktails while observing the eclectic crowd at the bar, or take a break from the commotion and relax by the pool.
Bowen House
This magnificently preserved Victorian-style farmhouse, built in 1874, will transport you back in time.
Highways now run where dirt roads formerly ran, but the pace of life slows as soon as you step through the door, and guests can enjoy a unique and private dinner and beverages experience.
The Bowen House isn’t like other Dallas date night spots. It foregoes the clean, ultra-modern decor seen in many of the city’s bars in favor of a warm yet classy environment.
It’s easy to have a few of their innovative and excellent drinks while winding down the night.
Javier’s
When you walk inside Javier’s, you should leave all of your preconceived notions about Tex-Mex at the door. This premium take on Mexico City dining is really beautiful, with its low lighting and hacienda-style wooden decor.
For more than 40 years, Javier’s has been a quintessential Texas institution, and there are plenty of reasons why it continues to draw large audiences nearly every night.
For starters, the meat-heavy cuisine is meant to impress, with various steaks, poultry meals, and fish fillets infused with Mexican spices.
For another, the dark, frantic atmosphere is ideal for leaning in close and chatting the night away.
After supper, the magic doesn’t have to stop. Escape to the private lounge and cigar bar for even more intimate drinks or smoke once the dishes have been cleaned.
Gemma
This is the go-to date night option for so many Dallas sites, with a friendly, intimate dining space and sophisticated American cuisine.
Gemma’s blue and white decor and casual environment have a coastal air, but its hours are possibly the best aspect.
This establishment stays open until the wee hours of the morning, allowing you and your special someone to enjoy a leisurely evening.
Gemma’s menu is difficult to go wrong, which includes everything from grass-fed beef tartare to an extensive wine selection. The fried olives and pecans are said to be a fantastic appetizer.
Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time since tables are in high demand.
Felix Culpa
Artistic and eclectic Guests may dine and drink the night away in Felix Culpa’s lounge-style environment, including velvet chairs, exposed brick walls, and pop art pieces.
The room screams “trendy,” and it attracts quite a throng. It also appears to have pleasing lighting, which is ideal for first dates.
The menu, which features contemporary American food with a European twist, includes a variety of tapas options and a large selection of house cocktails.
This romantic restaurant in Dallas will undoubtedly stick out among the rest. It’s got a lot of personalities and the food to back it up.
SER Steak+Spirits
This highly stylish restaurant atop the Hilton Anatole takes to surf and turf to new heights.
For its one-of-a-kind panoramic views of the Dallas cityscape, SER Steakhouse made our list of the best rooftop restaurants in Dallas. Nothing screams romance more than that.
Being one of Dallas’ greatest fine dining establishments, SER will leave a lasting impact on your date. So relax, take in the views, and savor a meal on top of Dallas.
Rosewood Mansion
In Dallas, there are romantic restaurants, and then there’s the Rosewood. This list comes to a close with the most opulent Dallas dining establishments housed in a home erected over a century ago.
It’s difficult to choose between the classic European building, the lovely outside terrace, and the stunning platters passing past your table.
The menu features a unique blend of sophisticated French cuisine with Texas-inspired meals not found anywhere else in the state. As the main course, order the Texas beef tartare and finish with the chocolate torte.
The Mansion Bar, which serves a famous original spin on the gin and tonic, is the place to go for after-dinner beverages. Live music is performed Thursday through Saturday in the luxurious lounge.
This is a fantastic restaurant for anniversary dinners, and you and your loved one will remember the meal for years.
Smoky Rose
This is a must-visit place! Although the restaurant has a country/rustic vibe to it, it is very nice! They have both indoor and outdoor seating options, and we would have sat outside if it hadn’t been so hot.
When you eat here, you must have the brisket queso. It was really tasty, and the serving size was generous. The jalapeno cheddar sausage, house Mac, and bbq beans were also on my menu.
