According to police, a suspect, 21, is suspected of confessing to shooting and murdering a man inside a Rowlett residence early on Wednesday.
Police Report
Around 1:36 a.m., according to the Rowlett Police Department, police were summoned to a residence in the 2600 block of Primrose Lane on Wednesday.
When police arrived, they reportedly discovered a 22-year-old guy who had been shot many times. The guy was taken to a nearby hospital and later declared dead.
Police are holding off on releasing his identity until they hear from his next of kin.
Anthony Tavarez, 21, was reportedly detained by police during an investigation for violating the terms of his release out of Dallas County Court. Police claim that Tavarez confessed to shooting the victim while in jail.
According to Rowlett PD, Tavarez is facing further charges, and the investigation is still underway.

Less than an hour into the new year, Dallas police claim they are searching for an 18-year-old suspected of fatally shooting a man.
Police said Miguel Sereno is accused of shooting a guy during an altercation early on Sunday. A call came in about 12:40 in the morning. They were sent to the 4500 block of Mar Vista Trail, close to West Kiest Boulevard and Interstate Loop 12.
According to police, Sereno left the site before they arrived and discovered the victim, 36-year-old Dylan Reeves.
After being transported to a hospital, Reeves passed away.

Police said that Sereno left the scene before they arrived and found Dylan Reeves, the victim, who was 36 years old.
Reeves died at the hospital after being taken there.
