On Sunday evening, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office got information regarding an unwanted situation at the Woods of Inverness Apartments, 21717 Inverness Forest Blvd. The officials found two bodies of a married couple in their apartment involved in a murder-suicide situation. This is the second murder-suicide case in Houston city within the last 24 hours.
Houston couple involved in a murder-suicide case
The sheriff’s office of Harris County reacted to an emergency call on Sunday evening at around 7.30 p.m. regarding an apparent homicide in 21717 Inverness Forest Blvd. The police reached the location and recovered two bodies. The information about the incident was shared by the family members of the woman who was dead.
The main door of the apartment was locked. Hence, the police had to break it and enter. They spotted the senseless bodies of the couple with bullet marks. They were declared dead by the forensic team. According to ABC 13, there was no trace of foul play, so the couple died in a murder-suicide scenario.
The family members stated that their sister and her husband didn’t connect with them for long. The couple didn’t even respond to their calls. Out of concern, they reached their apartment and saw their sister’s unconscious body lying on the floor, covered with blood through the window.

Second case of murder-suicide in Houston within a day
The investigation has suggested that the victims of the Woods of Inverness Apartments murder-suicide, who were a married couple had an uneasy marital life. The duo didn’t have children and often got involved in arguments leading to violence. The incident has also been considered to be the result of domestic violence.
This is the second case of murder-suicide in Houston city within 24 hours. The first one has been recorded in the parking lot of Texas Children’s Hospital. The victims reached the location to seek help for a child. Leaving the child behind in the back seat of the car, the mother and an adult who was supposedly her ex-boyfriend who died in a murder-suicide situation.
The police said that the man shot the woman first, then himself leaving the child uninjured in the back seat.
