A mother was discovered dead on Thanksgiving. Law enforcement officials have begun searching for her 5-year-old girl and her husband, who has been reported missing.
According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to the 200 block of Louise Drive on Nov. 24 at approximately noon to conduct a welfare check on a person who had been reported missing.
It was reported that when they arrived, they discovered a female victim who had passed away and that she had been missing since November 1.
Mom Died From Single Shot
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators discovered that the victim had a 5-year-old daughter named Aspen Jeter, who has not been seen.
As reported by True Crime Daily, the victim’s body had already entered an advanced stage of decomposition. Meanwhile, Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, the woman, passed away due to a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, and the cause of death has been ruled as a homicide.
The victim’s family has identified the deceased as Crystal Jumper, and they have stated that Aspen cannot walk or talk at this time.
Pauley Jumper, Aspen’s uncle, said that she is a good-natured little baby, and they only want her to return home so they can be with her.

Searching for Missing 5-Year-Old Girl, Father
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell reported that the mother of a 5-year-old girl who went missing was found dead from gunshot wounds. Law enforcement officials reported that they are now looking for the girl’s father as they continue their search for the daughter.
According to News19, all of this is relevant information that has been gathered so far in the investigation into the disappearance of the 5-year-old Aspen Jeter.
During a news conference late on Wednesday afternoon, Ravenell gave a brief statement regarding the investigation.
Ravenell stated that his office and several others are actively hunting for Aspen Jeter’s father, Antar. It has been alleged that he is the girl’s custody parent and drives a blue Mazda 6.
Ravenell stated that the police have a warrant for Antar’s arrest on charges of vehicle theft and are concentrating their efforts on looking for Antar and Aspen Jeter in North Carolina.
Aspen was included in a request for an Amber Alert but ultimately fell short of qualification.
