Who is Amanda Hanson Memphis?
Amanda grew up in Memphis and began her broadcasting career at 20 as a weekend DJ and promotional team member at WHBQ-FM. She moved into television, starting as a part-time sports multimedia journalist and video editor at WREG.
She collaborated with KAIT from 2010 to 2015 and from 2018 to 2021. Amanda arrived in Cape Girardeau in 2015 to work as an anchor. After anchoring at KAIT in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she returned to her hometown of Memphis. She returned to Memphis in 2021 and began working for WMC Action News Five. Amanda’s hobbies included cooking, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Asher.
