$500 Monthly Payments Pilot Program
Time is running out for Californians to apply for a new pilot program that offers $500 monthly payments to help with their basic needs.
According to The US Sun, the program, which has been enacted in two locations, El Monte and Sacramento, aims to provide support to low-income families who are struggling to afford essentials like food and utilities due to rising costs and inflation.
The application for the $500 monthly payments offered in Sacramento has already closed, but the residents of El Monte still have until the end of the day to submit their applications and present their proof of eligibility.
Eligible residents can apply for the $500 monthly payments in person, online, or by mailing in a printed application form.
