CPS Visit Turns Deadly as Texas Mother Stabs Her Five Children, Killing Three

A Texas mother, Shamaiya Deyonshana Hall, has been charged with three counts of capital murder after stabbing five of her children during a surprise Child Protective Services (CPS) visit.

The incident took place on March 3rd in Texas, during an unannounced visit by CPS officials. The officials believed that the Texas mother was having unsupervised visits with her children. All five children were siblings and in temporary CPS care, with guardianship previously given to another relative, MSN reported.

Upon arriving at the home the caseworkers called 911 after finding out what happened to the children inside their home. Police found three children dead and two seriously wounded after being stabbed by their Texas mother. The deceased children were a 6-year-old boy and 5-year-old twins, a boy, and a girl. The two injured children, a 4-year-old boy, and a 13-month-old girl were rushed to local hospitals for medical attention.

The Texas mother is currently in custody on a $2 million bond for each charge of capital murder, and there is no danger to the public at this time, according to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.
