WalletHub conducted the study 2022’s Most Sinful Cities in America recently that depicted the status of the most sinful cities in the country.
The study has placed Houston in the fourth position on the list among other cities such as Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and others. The list has triggered concern among the residents of the city. However, this is not the first time Houston has attained the fourth rank. The citizens should consider a few elements while residing in the city.
Why Houston is the fourth most sinful city in the country
The study by WalletHub has been conducted based on several stages, such as lust, anger and hatred, laziness, jealousy, vices, and greed. These elements helped the research to examine the US cities from a critical point of view. These stages have been accumulatively called sinful behaviors by WalletHub. Houston ranked fourth on the list back in 2018, also.
Researchers have put Houston in the fourth position as per the status of cities in all these elements. The city has ranked 31st in anger and hatred, sixth in jealousy, 77th in greed, third in lust, sixth in vanity, and 130th in laziness. All these factors mostly contribute to committing crimes and unemployment. Houston has been one of the cities in Texas that registered a higher number of crimes in the last few decades. This has made the town one of the USA’s most dangerous and sinful cities.

Other cities that have ranked higher
The ‘sin city’ Las Vegas has ranked first on WalletHub’s list with the second position in greed and fifth in lust and vanity. St. Louis has been put in the second position with the first rank in anger and hatred. In third place, WalletHub ranked Philadelphia of Pennsylvania.
