US Federal Court Judge Roger Benitez has taken down the controversial gun law of California that emulated the anti-abortion regulation of Texas. California gun law matches Texas
In July 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared on bringing a gun law that resembles one of the abortion regulations in Texas. He introduced it with the intention to create controversy after the federal court’s decision of overturning women’s lawful right to abort in the country and neglecting the gun control regulations.
As per the reports, Newsom looked for a combined approval that either enforce or dissuade both laws. The abortion law in Texas was initially approved by the court hence in case of declaring it unconstitutional will automatically invalidate the gun control regulation. Newsom expressed in this declaration that his state has to look for methods to save its children as the federal court isn’t taking major steps toward gun control.
