Shasta county of California has been considered MAGA-led or controlled. The county has gone through a major administrative change in the past few months as Supervisor Leonard Moty bid farewell to his post handing over it to Tim Garman. Many chief officials of the county have been fired from their positions and others left their jobs deliberately. This has raised concern among the citizens of the locality. The residents are asserting this is an effect of MAGA for their rights are being taken by a toll.
What is the political scenario in Shasta County of California?
With Leonard Moty’s departure from the position of supervisor in Shasta county, the administration of the area witnessed evident changes in terms of law and rights. Previously, the Republicans were a minority in the administration, but the February elections brought a majority to the political party.
The leaders had the support of the public initially. However, political change hasn’t been welcomed by the public easily. The days of Tim Garman have been considered MAGA-controlled as they seem to follow Trump’s 2016 election formula of making America great but with unnecessary changes.

Why Shasta County has been MAGA-led?
Tim Garman and his authority have fired the health officer of Shasta County for following the COVID-19 regulations provided by the state government of California run by the Democrats. Along with that, the chief executive has left his position. But the county authority has failed to fill these positions with eligible representatives.
Hence, it has been noticed that Garman’s rule restricts people from doing things according to them. It rather seems they want everybody to follow the regulations made by the county majority, that is, Republicans. The elections conducted in November have reinforced the majority. The New York Times has stated the county is MAGA-controlled following the proceedings of the Shasta County Board of Supervisors in the area.
