Parkland Hospital has launched eight community-based centers for current Parkland patients who satisfy the medically necessary criteria, which are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. Mobile Testing in Dallas
Residents who do not have access to transportation can participate in mobile testing provided by the City of Dallas. Residents must meet the following requirements in order to participate in COVID-19 Mobile Testing:
- In the city of Dallas, you can live in any ZIP code.
- NOT being able to get to a testing site due to a lack of transportation.
- Appointments for mobile in-home evaluation are free for eligible residents and can be made by calling the MCI diagnostic Center screening line at 1-833-657-1887 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Within 48-72 hours, the results will be accessible.
Eligibility for free COVID-19 testing
Individuals who are currently experiencing one or more COVID-19 symptom(s) OR have recently been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 are eligible for free COVID-19 testing through the DCPH agreement with Principle Health Systems. Individuals who have recently been exposed should be examined within 5 days of their last exposure.
Test Procedure
A swab will be used to capture a sample from your nose by a professional. The sample will then be sent to a laboratory for analysis. Approximately 48 hours following testing, patients can see their results online.
