Sen. Ron Johnson Claims ‘US Doesn’t Have Any FDA Approved COVID-19 Vaccine’

Senator Ron Jonhson, R-Wisc., has claimed that no COVID-19 vaccine has been approved by the FDA in the United States and called the mandate for all Americans to get vaccinated against the virus “unconstitutional.”

As far as vaccinations in the U.S. are concerned, President Joe Biden delivered on his promise of 200 million COVID-19 vaccine doses within his first 100 days in office. In April, administered doses in the country rose to over 3 million a day. Now, with the Food and Drug Administration expanding emergency use authorization for the Pfizer vaccine to children aged 12 to 15, eligibility for American residents continues to grow.

In an interview with Fox News, Johnson said: “We do not have an FDA-approved vaccine being administered in the U.S. The FDA played a bait and switch. They approved the Comirnaty version of Pfizer drugs. It’s not available in the U.S. They even admit it. I sent them a letter three days later going “What are you doing?” What they did is they extended the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer drug vaccine that’s available in the U.S., here that’s more than 30 days later, they haven’t asked that very simple question.

He continued: “If you’re saying that the Pfizer drug is the same as the Comirnaty, why didn’t you provide FDA approval on that? So, there’s not an FDA-approved drug and, of course, they announced it so they could push through these mandates so that people actually think, “Oh, OK now these things are FDA approved.” They are not and again, maybe they should be, but the FDA isn’t telling me why.”

Jonhson Calls COVID-19 Mandate ‘Unconstitutional’; Says CDC Isn’t Providing ‘Enough Information’

Besides claiming that FDA did not approve any COVID-19 vaccine, Jonhson also aired his concern that the mandate to get all Americans vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus is “unconstitutional” and “makes no sense.”

“Follow the science, that even fully vaccinated individuals can still get infected, they can still transmit, so why would we segregate the society based on vaxxed versus unvaxed?” he said.

Johnson also claimed that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is not providing the information that Americans really need to make an informed choice over their own health.

He later cited a briefing done in England wherein they provided information covering seven and a half months worth of data stating that in 600,000 new delta cases and 25,000 deaths, 1,600 or 63% of these deaths were of fully vaccinated individuals, according to Fox News.

“So what is the point to this divisive mandate that are (sic) gonna be devastating for health care, affecting military readiness…?”

Whistleblowers In The Military

The senator also revealed that he had talked to “whistleblowers” who have gag orders on them and can’t expose “the truth about what’s happening inside the military and healthcare facilities.”

Across the United States, about 393.8 million doses have been administered so far, CNN reported. This number translates to 119 doses per hundred people.

COVID-19 has so far infected 44,443,405 people and claimed 718,984 lives in the United States, according to worldometer data.
