Teen Charged With Murder In Harris County Over Twin Sister’s Stabbing Death

A 17-year-old girl in West Harris County died after being stabbed to death. Her twin brother was detained Wednesday morning and was charged with murder, authorities said.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzales, deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call at about 4.45 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 4100 block of Brown Meadow Court, ABC 13 reported.

Twin Brother Was Performing CPR On Twin Sister

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found Benjamin Elliot in one of the bedrooms of the home, performing CPR on his twin sister, Meghan Elliot, who had several stab wounds to her neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motive Of The Killing Still Unclear

Authorities told local reporters that it is still not identified what lead to the stabbing. The knife which was believed to have been used in the crime was recovered.

According to an investigation, Benjamin called 911 and said he had stabbed his sister. Sgt. Greg Pinkins with the homicide unit said that the twin’s parents were asleep inside the home when the incident happened.

Teen Charged With Murder

Benjamin was immediately detained at the scene and was questioned. On Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office announced that he is charged with murder and booked into Harris County Jail. At this time, no bond has been set.
