Police in La Porte, Texas, are looking for a woman who was reported missing over a week ago.
According to the missing person alert released by the La Porte Police Department, the 36-year-old woman identified as Josefa Vela was last seen leaving her home off Scotch Moss Lane on Wednesday, Sept. 1, ABC 13 reported.
Authorities said she had been driving a 2015 black Chevrolet Tahoe with the license plates MCW6430 on the day she left her home.
No one has seen or heard from her since then.
La Porte police have released the missing person alert in hopes that Vela will be found. They described her to have brown hair, brown eyes, and visible tattoos on her arms and neck. According to the report, she had the name “Johnny David Villarreal” tattooed on her body.
The La Porte Police Department is also urging everyone with any information on Vela’s whereabouts to reach out to Detective Breeding. He can be reached by calling 281-842-3132.
