Man Killed in a Crash While Walking On Sheldon Road In NE Harris County

A man was hit and killed while he was walking along Sheldon Road in northeast Harris County in the wee hours on Sunday.

According to authorities, the incident happened in the 6500 block of Sheldon Road between Wallisville Road and Miller Road 1.

The man had been taking a walk when a car crashed into the man, killing him on the spot. The driver involved in the crash stopped and cooperated with police. They are currently working to find out what led to the crash that ended up killing the man during his early morning walk, ABC 13 reported

The victim was not immediately identified. Police also did not reveal more information regarding the incident and the family of the deceased. The driver also remained unnamed. 

Deputies said they will continue to investigate and more information will be revealed to the public soon. 

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office also put up an advisory regarding the incident on Twitter, identifying the victim only as an adult male. According to the post, the HCSO D3 Patrol responded to the scene after receiving reports that a man was killed after a car crashed.

The Twitter post read, “@HCSO_D3Patrol deputies responded to the 6590 block of Sheldon Rd. in east Harris County in reference to an auto-pedestrian accident. An adult male has died after being struck by a vehicle that remained on the scene. Traffic investigators are at the scene. #hounews”
