As the U.S. is headed toward the flu season, people are wondering if they should receive their COVID-19 vaccine shots or booster shots at the same time as their flu shots.
‘It’s Perfectly Fine’ To Get Both Shots At Same Time
In an interview with CNN, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said that people can get both of the shots in the most expeditious manner, and as soon as possible. “If that means going in and getting the flu shot in one arm, the COVID shot in the other, that’s perfectly fine. There’s nothing wrong with that at all.”
Fauci, the White House’s chief medical advisor, also said that it would make it more convenient to get both shots at the same time in just a single visit. “So whatever it takes to get both of them, go ahead and do it. It’s perfectly fine.”
Flu Season About To Begin In US
As the fall has begun and winter approaches in the U.S., the annually recurring flu season is feared by Americans especially that the COVID-19 virus is continuing to rise and bring thousands of cases and deaths daily across the nation.
