Car Hits Pillar In North Austin, Person Rescued

After being trapped inside a vehicle, a person was rescued in north Austin, Sunday afternoon, Austin Travis County EMS said via a tweet.

The Austin Travis County EMS said that the vehicle crashed into a pillar, just close to 8868 Research Boulevard southbound service road. There were no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Austin Fire and medics responded to the scene and the person was taken to Dell Selton Medical Center, sustaining life-threatening injuries, and is in a critical condition, ATCEMS said.

Officials advised all drivers to take a different route or slow down while passing the area where the accident happened.
