The passenger of a car was declared dead on the spot after getting in an accident involving a Metrorail bus on Saturday night.
According to officials, the car had two people in it when the accident happened, ABC 13 reported.
Metrorail Bus confirmed the crash
A statement from a representative of Metrorail bus confirmed the crash. According to the representative, the bus and the car crashed into each other at the 3500 block of Bennington Street in northeast Houston.
One of the passengers of the car was declared dead on the scene.
The police said that at this time, they do not know who was at fault in this crash yet.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car and the operator of the Metrorail bus involved in the accident were both transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
Unknown factors of the incident
No other information regarding the incident and how the two-vehicle crash occurred were released. The make and model of the car were not released as well. It was also unclear whether the Metro bus had passengers at the time of the crash.
Neither the Collision Reconstruction Unit nor the police has announced whether there will be shutdowns to expect on the scene for a few hours or not.
As of press time, the initial investigation has only confirmed the crash. The police are still investigating the cause of the crash and are still trying to find witnesses to the incident.
