At her home on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:21 a.m., Claire McAleer, 83, of Pembroke, Kentucky, passed away. There won’t be any services. The planning is being done with assistance from Hopkinsville’s Dogwood Funerals & Cremations.
Who was Claire McAleer?
She was born on May 30, 1940, in Homewood, Illinois, the daughter of the late Everett Olson and Lila Richardson Olson. She worked as a social worker in her previous career. After her marriage to Thomas McAleer, the couple reared four kids. She was predeceased by her spouse, Thomas McAleer, and her parents.
Her son Ted (Maria Jose’) McAleer of Seville, Spain; her daughters Dawn (Joe) Stealy of Statesboro, Georgia, Mary Claire Mullins of Pembroke, Kentucky, and Kate McAleer of Pembroke, Kentucky; her brother George Olson of Chicago, Illinois, her sister Mary Ellen Hansburg of Chicago, Illinois.
Her grandchildren Tara (Jacob) Purcell, Alexander Mullins, Nicole (Ben) Luley, Toni (Josiah) Elswick, Christopher (Naomi) Philbrook, Cory Stealy, and Ryan Stealy, and her great-grandchildren Riley Purcell, Sawyer Purcell, Avery Purcell, Sophia Mullins, Ayla Lay, Henry Lay, and Oliver Luly are among her surviving family members. Donations to Max’s Hope Pet Rescue are requested as a memorial in Claire’s honor.
