After 61 beautiful years of marriage to Roland “Butch” Beauvais, Linda, now 77 years old, departed quietly in the warmth of her own home, surrounded by her loved ones. As a teachers’ aide at Catholic of Pointe Coupee, Linda demonstrated her commitment to developing young minds. Her years of dedication to teaching have had a lasting effect on several students’ lives, showing her love of encouraging learning and development.

Advocate for Marriage Encounters:

As a devout Catholic and involved in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Roads, Linda’s faith was a compass in her life. She and Butch participated in Marriage Encounter for the Diocese of Baton Rouge, demonstrating their dedication to their marriage and religion. Family get-togethers brought Linda much delight, especially when her grandkids were there. Her family’s life revolved around making treasured memories, cooking delectable meals, and celebrating holidays. Her artistic legacy was left for her loved ones through her craft room, where she used her imagination to create a stunning abode.

Living an Exciting Life:

Because of her love of adventure, Linda and her soulmate, Butch, traveled the world. After they returned home, she painstakingly created scrapbooks to record every moment and save the memories of their travels for future generations. Roland “Butch” Beauvais, Linda’s devoted spouse, and their offspring Troy Beauvais (fiance, Janice Damron), Brian Beauvais (Diane), Brad Beauvais (Jill), and Tamela Wells (Mark) survive her. Her sisters, Gloria Cifreo and Pearl Jarreau, her great-grandchildren, her grandkids, and her cherished dog Kyo, all have memories of a woman who was the epitome of love and devotion.

Respecting a Life Well Spent:

On Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 10:30 am to 1:15 pm, the community will assemble at Niland’s Funeral Home in New Roads, Louisiana, to honor Linda’s life and pay their condolences. Father Bob Stine will preside over a Ceremony of Christian Burial at Catholic Church at 1:30 pm. False River Memorial Park Mausoleum will serve as the location of the interment. Mark Wells Jr., Matthew Mitchell, Hudson Beauvais, Gavin Beauvais, Gared Beauvais, and David Cifreo will be among the pallbearers.

As an honorary pallbearer, Gene Carmouche will take part. All who had the honor of knowing Linda Gayle Olinde Beauvais will be permanently moved by her legacy of love, faith, and creativity as she enters everlasting rest.
