Man Killed In A Fatal Shooting At Northwest Side, Reports Shown By A Medical Examiner

A man killed in a shooting at a Northwest Side sports bar this week has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Daniel Reese, 36, died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the ME. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Reese was shot during an altercation while the bar was still open, in the 9500 block of Console Drive, around 2 a.m., Thursday.

No one else was injured in the shooting.

At last check, another man was charged in Reese’s murder. His identity hasn’t been released.

One person is dead and another person has been arrested after a shooting at a Northwest Side sports bar early Thursday morning, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called around 2 a.m. to Boneheadz Sports Pub in the 9500 block of Console Drive, not far from Interstate 10 and Wurzbach Road after receiving word of a shooting.

According to police, the shooting happened during an altercation while the bar was still open. No one else was hit by gunfire.

Police said a man in his 40s turned himself in after the shooting. While officers were on the scene he contacted them and told them he was the shooter. He was found to have a gun in his possession, police said.

The man shot was struck in the chest and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

SAPD said several people were in the bar at the time of the shooting, but they gave conflicting stories.

The man detained has since been charged with murder.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
