The Houston shooting occurred around 11 a.m. on March 8th, when officers were flagged down by a witness who reported a man had been shot behind a Burger King. Upon arrival, officers found the man dead in the parking lot behind the fast-food chain. Fernandez allegedly shot and killed the victim for “no apparent reason.”Authorities were then informed of another man who suffered from a gunshot wound a short distance away next to another business. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries in the Houston shooting. For hours, authorities searched for Fernandez before arresting him later that evening, ABC reported.

While the motive behind the Houston shooting is unclear, it is evident that innocent lives were lost and impacted by this violent act. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet released by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Jorsch and C. Bowling are investigating the incident.

He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
