How To Qualify?

To qualify for the food rebates, applicants must meet eligibility requirements. Their income must not exceed $43,900 for individuals, $50,200 for households of two, $56,450 for households of three, and $62,700 for a family of four. Additionally, applicants must be 62 years or older, have a disability, have children in the household under the age of 18 during 2022, or not have a permanent shelter and be receiving services from a city-recognized homelessness services agency.

According to a published article in The U.S. Sun, applications for the food rebates will reopen on March 1, 2023, and must be received or postmarked by June 30, 2023. Eligible residents are encouraged to apply and claim their share of the rebate.

Residents who have already received a food rebate in 2022 do not need to reapply for the 2023 rebate, as they will automatically receive it. However, they must notify the city if their income or household size changes.
