Former Youth Pastor Busted!
The youth pastor’s role is to inspire, guide, and counsel young people toward living fulfilling and productive life. However, a former Texas youth pastor, Chad Michael Rider, betrayed that trust by engaging in the production of child pornography, a heinous act that has earned him a 60-year prison sentence.
The investigation into Rider’s crimes began when investigators with Homeland Security were probing David Pettigrew of Denison, Texas, for child pornography. During the investigation, agents discovered a computer hard drive containing videos dating back to 2016 of Rider and Pettigrew preparing to film children bathing at the church. The drive also contained videos that Rider shot of two other children in a residence.
