Kaydra Johnson, a 28-year-old woman from Tennessee, was charged with four counts of reckless endangerment after her daughter wrote a story in her kindergarten class about her mother pulling out a gun and shooting her father during an argument at their home according to WREG News. The story, which was first discovered by a school counselor, detailed a fight between the couple and the mother firing shots at the father.
When police arrived at the family’s home, they found Johnson outside the property and two young children inside. The police discovered bullet holes in the living room, bedroom, and hallway, and seized two guns from the property. Johnson admitted to firing at least two shots at her husband but claimed she did so in self-defense after he entered the home without permission and started hitting her with his fists and a vacuum cleaner.

The Department of Children’s Services placed two of the children with their grandmother and the other two with their aunt. Johnson has been released from jail and will go before a judge on February 23rd.
