The economic year 2022 will be recalled for the cost of living crisis that overwhelmed the United States of America. American citizens thrived with higher prices for everyday items such as groceries, gas, and other utilities as a result of the supply chain issues and Russia’s attack on Ukraine and the sanctions imposed on Russian oil imports sent the price of gas higher than its normal price, despite leaving the worst of the pandemic behind.
Inflation was not in good condition so the American Federal Reserve was forced to enforce a series of interest rate hikes to help constrain the inflation rate, which is estimated to be 7.1 percent for the past year.
