Missing 11-Year-Old North Carolina Girl, Mother And Stepfather Were Arrested
The arrest of Diana Cojocari, 37, and Christopher Palmiter, 60, of Cornelius for failing to report their 11-year-old daughter Madalina Cojocari, was made public on Saturday by the Cornelius Police Department.
The mother and stepfather who have been absent for a long time were taken on Saturday for allegedly neglecting to report her disappearance. Inside “a reasonable time,” parents or guardians are mandatory by North Carolina law to report missing children to authorities.
According to a published post by Kake, law enforcement officers say that Madalina was last seen at her home in Cornelius, North Carolina, approximately three weeks before her school learned on December 15 that she was missing.
According to a declaration released on Friday by the Cornelius Police Department, “The parents of the juvenile reported the juvenile missing to the Bailey Middle School SRO where the juvenile attends.” On November 23, 2022, Madalina was last seen at home, and since then, she has not been seen.
Mother, Stepfather Arrested as FBI, Police Search For Missing 11-Year-Old
The Cornelius Police Department is working together with the FBI and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation in the search for the 11-year-old girl who has been missing. Photos and pictures of search efforts at a local lake were shared and public on Monday.
The FBI specified and stated that at the time of her disappearance, Madalina Cojocari was dressed in “jeans, pink, purple, and white Adidas shoes, and a white t-shirt and jacket.” The young girl is 4’10” tall, 90 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair.
North Carolina girl disappearance was told and reported to the school on Thursday, according to the police. Police have posted and dispatched images of Madalina and written that she enjoys eating ice cream and riding horses.
The police requested that anybody with evidence and information will contact the Cornelius Police Department, stating and declaring that the search is an ongoing investigation.
