The California Franchise Tax Board has stated that the state has issued $7,508,156,450 billion in Middle-Class tax refunds or MCTR.

Direct deposit = 6,956,431
Debit cards = 6,857,281

But some California residents threw or destroyed their debit cards right after receiving the money because they thought it was trash or a scam.

The cards lost or ruined can be replaced by ringing Money Network because Money Network is coordinating the debit cards.

People who are eligible to receive the MCTR payment through debit card

• had a balance due.

• received their tax refund via check regardless of the methods of filing.
• got their 2020 tax refund via direct deposit but changed their bank number account.
• received an early payment from their tax service provider.
