Texas Police have arrested a man in suspect of disappeared girl who was missing for eight days before she was safely located. A man named Sirterryon Preston, age 27 years from Houston, was charged with evading authorities after he attempted to flee from officers on Friday, according to the Columbus Police Department.
The police came to know about the girl around 12:40 pm on Friday. They also get to know that a 12-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert search was in Columbus, which is about 94 miles west of Houston.
Then, Texas police confirmed the identity of the girl and transported her to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston for evaluation.
Police have previously notified the public about the missing girl, who was last seen on Feb. 22 getting into a pickup truck in the city.
Preston was being held in the Colorado County Jail with possible additional charges pending an investigation by the FBI, the Columbus police said.
