Dustin Duren: Who Is He? There Is An Amber Alert For Two Missing Young Girls

According to investigators, Dustin Duren, 37, is accused of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Caitlyn Naffziger. She was discovered in a Main Street apartment and shot in the head.

Around 11 a.m. on Friday, the kids were discovered safe outside the Keene Applebee’s restaurant, where onlookers had reported the white Subaru he was driving. The kids were secure.

The attorney general’s office in New Hampshire identified Duren and Naffziger as the two little girls’ parents on Friday afternoon.

“It is impossible to say if they witnessed their mother being shot. During a news conference, Assistant Attorney General Bethany Durand stated, “I can say that they were found, they are safe, and they are being cared for.” State authorities said that Naffziger, 31, passed away from a single gunshot wound to the head following an autopsy. The death was caused by homicide.

“The public’s assistance in this matter and their prompt response to the alert issued earlier by the New Hampshire State Police are greatly appreciated,” the Department of Justice said in a statement early on Friday.

The Police want a white Subaru Impreza and Dustin Duren:

Just after 4 a.m. on Friday, residents of New Hampshire received a phone alert informing them that Duren’s white 2017 Subaru Impreza with a New Hampshire license plate was being sought after by the police.

At around 8 p.m. on Thursday, he was last known to be in Concord, New Hampshire, and was thought to have been with his two little girls.

According to state police, Dustin was thought to be armed and dangerous, so anybody seeing the Durens or his car was instructed to phone 911 right away rather than approach them.

The Arrest of Duren Outside an Applebee’s in Keene:

About 170 miles from their original inquiry, Tonya Hansen saw Duren’s arrest in Keene. When Duren got out of the white Subaru and slowly turned back to face the cops, she captured the officers aiming firearms at the vehicle on camera.

“The man fulfilled all of the officers’ requests,” she recounted. “Further detectives pulled up, and they got the man out of the car and got him down to the earth safely.”

The two kids, who Hansen said were “distraught” but appeared to be safe, were then taken out of the car by the officers. Law enforcement authorities claimed that the youngsters were under their custody on Friday.

Death of Caitlyn Naffziger:

Attorney General John Formella claims that at around 10:30 p.m., police officers sent to an apartment on Main Street off Iceland Street discovered the 32-year-old Naffziger dead. Although her deceased’s manner of death was not disclosed, detectives are treating it suspiciously. They claimed that the inquiry led to the issuance of the Amber Alert.

It wasn’t immediately evident how Naffziger and the kids interacted. On Friday afternoon, the autopsy was still being performed.

If anybody had non-emergency information, they were asked to call the New Hampshire State Police headquarters at 603-223-4381 or the Berlin police at 603-752-3131.
