Miguel Ángel González Suárez was known as Miguel Ángel, was a Spanish professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper.
Throughout his career, he switched from playing football to handball. He played for AD Couto (later called Atlético Ourense), CD Castellón and Real Madrid. He spent a remarkable 18 years with Real Madrid, serving as the main goalkeeper from 1974 to 1978 and in two of his last three seasons.
During his time there, he contributed to the team’s success, helping them win six La Liga championships. Miguel Ángel retired in June 1986, having almost reached the age of 39. After retiring, he remained associated with Real Madrid in various roles.
