In a harrowing incident, a 14-year-old boy from California has been arrested on charges of allegedly murdering his parents and critically injuring his younger sister. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Department has filed two charges of murder and one charge of attempted murder against the teenager in connection with the brutal attacks on his family.
The tragic events unfolded when deputies responded to a 911 call at around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday reporting injuries at a residence in Miramonte, California. The teenage boy, claiming that an intruder had broken into their home and attacked his mom, dad, and sister, made the distress call. According to his account, the assailant fled the scene in a pickup truck after the violent assault.
Upon entering the residence, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of two adults, identified as 37-year-old Lue Yang and 37-year-old Se Vang. Additionally, the 11-year-old sister was found suffering from severe injuries. Promptly transported to the hospital, the young girl underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition, showing signs of improvement in her health, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
However, as detectives delved into the investigation, inconsistencies emerged between the boy’s narrative and the evidence uncovered at the crime scene. Subsequently, it was revealed that the teenager had fabricated the story and was responsible for using multiple weapons in the violent attacks on his parents and sister.
Sheriff John Zanoni, during a press conference, disclosed that a seven-year-old brother was also present in the home during the assaults but remained unharmed. The seven-year-old is now under the care of other family members, adding another layer of complexity to the already tragic and distressing situation.
The motive behind the heinous acts committed by the 14-year-old remains unclear, leaving investigators grappling with the challenging task of piecing together the events that led to such a devastating outcome within the family.
