A guy named David Nathaniel Barron, 40 was slain, and a woman received a gunshot wound to the leg.

Investigators believe Barron was explicitly targeted. According to officials, several other people at the mall were injured during the shooting. One guy complained of chest pain, and another of a shattered arm. According to police, the shooter was wearing a red hat. On Sunday afternoon, authorities reported that the cap had been removed from the scene. “That hat may contain valuable DNA evidence, and we need it back,” police in Ocala said. “We implore you to do the right thing and come forward immediately.” The clock is ticking.”
The Ocala Police Department stated that if the hat were not returned promptly, police would release a photograph of the person who took it. The individual who took the cap will be arrested on a felony charge of tampering with evidence, they warned. Ocala is approximately 80 miles northwest of Orlando.
