The distraught father of Shani Louk declared today that his daughter “did not suffer” and “was killed on the spot” by Hamas terrorists while being kidnapped. On October 7, while dancing with her companions at the Nova electronic festival outside Kibbutz Re’im, Nissim Louk’s 22-year-old daughter was shot by Hamas terrorists.
Shani and her companions attempted to flee the massacre in their car, according to Mr. Louk, but 10 minutes later, they were confronted by armed Hamas terrorists who opened fire on the car, killing his daughter “instantly.” His daughter “did not suffer,” he claimed. Yitzchak Herzog, the president of Israel, asserted today that the young festival-goer had been beheaded and that Israeli investigators had discovered the base of her skull.
What specifically transpired to Shani before her death is now unknown. ‘I really apologise for informing you that Shani Nicole Louk has been officially declared deceased and murdered,’ Herzog informed the German tabloid Bild that her skull had been discovered. ‘This implies that as they attacked, tormented, and murdered Israelis, these savage, vicious animals merely hacked off her head. I send her family my sincerest condolences; it is a terrible loss.’
Shani’s family had been waiting impotently for word that their daughter had survived the Hamas attack and might be set free by the terrorists for almost three weeks.
However, her distraught mother and sister broke the news they had been dreading earlier today. “We regretfully learned yesterday that my daughter has passed away,” mother Ricarda stated on German television station RTL.
Adi, Shani’s sister, “announced with great sadness the death of my sister” on Instagram. Uncertainty surrounds Shani’s death circumstances. In horrible pictures, the German-Israeli was paraded around the streets in front of mocking crowds who spat on her immobile body. Although her mother subsequently claimed that she was alive and being held in a hospital in Gaza, it was unclear if she was still alive when watching the video. However, Shani’s family now believes she was shot in the head and died that same day. Shani’s father suggested that his daughter was already dead when she was shown in the video lying still in the back of the truck, claiming his daughter was shot dead ten minutes after leaving the festival.
Mr. Louk told the Israeli news outlet N12, “Until about 6.45am [on October 7], Shani was still dancing, cheering, and going wild at the party and was surrounded by all her best friends.” He added that before Shani went in her car, their family received reports of missiles in the region and phoned a distraught Shani.
According to Mr. Louk, his daughter, 22, was attempting to escape the terrorists by racing down the road when her car was shot at by the militants. According to Mr. Louk, “she was killed on the spot and not only did she not suffer—ten minutes earlier, she was still having fun.” ‘At least she didn’t suffer,’ said Shani’s mother Ricarda to RTL.
However, the Israeli President made these remarks after claiming that Shani was killed by terrorists and beheaded after a piece of her skull was discovered. Where her skull was found is still unknown. According to Shani’s cousin, the Israeli Defence Forces notified the family that a bone from the 22-year-old’s skull base had been discovered, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.
According to the IDF and volunteers from the Zaka emergency response team, Shani’s DNA matched the bone from the base of a skull, which is essential for survival. On October 7, when Shani and her companions were dancing at the music event, they failed to notice the black-clad paragliders with their machine guns and grenades making their way down onto the fields surrounding the festival. However, the youthful celebrants were about to hear the sound of air raid sirens and witness the rockets swooping overhead.
Shani was among the numerous festival attendees kidnapped in the vicious assault that claimed the lives of 260 people. The video shows ‘Allahu Akbar’ being yelled by four terrorists as her lifeless body is stretched in the back of a truck, one leg at an odd angle.
Orión Hernández Radoux, a Mexican native and Shani’s boyfriend, is also thought to have been abducted by terrorists during the assault. Hamas must be held responsible for Shani’s death, according to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, whose administration has steadfastly backed Israel as it launched an attack against Gaza in retribution.
“This news is terrible for me,” Scholz declared while on an official visit to Nigeria. “This demonstrates the savagery that underlies Hamas.” After learning that she was still alive in Gaza, her family had denounced the German government for refusing to respond to their requests for assistance. Days after her kidnapping, Shani’s uncle Wilfried Gehr and aunt Orly Louk begged the German government in a televised interview on the show “ZDF heute.”
“We’ve been pleading with the German government to assist for the past three days,” they said. The fact that the federal government won’t accept accountability has us quite agitated and worried. According to a Foreign Office representative, he is stressed for time since they need to reschedule flights. That really enrages me. Shani is German.
According to Der Spiegel magazine, the tattoo artist and pacifist had never lived in Germany, but has a German passport and visited her grandparents in Ravensburg in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg several times. It came one day after Shani’s mother Ricarda – a Catholic who later converted to Judaism and emigrated to Israel – revealed she received word from Palestine that her daughter is still alive.
The news had provided fresh hope after videos emerged of an unconscious and partially naked Shani being paraded through the streets by Hamas terrorists as onlookers spat on her motionless body. Ricarda Louk told German outlet Bild on October 10: ‘We now have evidence that Shani is alive but has a serious head injury and is in critical condition. Every minute is critical. ‘You have to act quickly and get Shani out of the Gaza Strip!’ she declared in the message directed at German officials. ‘We shouldn’t argue about questions of jurisdiction now!’ Orly said Shani had refused to take up the military service that is mandatory for Israelis due to her pacifist views, adding that her German passport helped with this.
Ricarda earlier released a heartbreaking video begging for help to find out what happened to her daughter. Holding a picture of Shani on her mobile phone, Ricarda said: ‘This morning my daughter, Shani Nicole Louk, a German citizen, was kidnapped with a group of tourists in southern Israel by Palestinian Hamas. ‘We were sent a video in which I could clearly see our daughter unconscious in the car with the Palestinians and them driving around the Gaza Strip. ‘I ask you to send us any help or any news. Thank you very much.’ Hamas had claimed the body was a female Israeli soldier – but it was confirmed to be Shani by her cousin Tomasina Weintraub-Louk, who told MailOnline that the family recognised her distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocked hair.
She said: ‘We have heard nothing. We are hoping for positive news. It is definitely Shani. ‘She was at a music festival for peace. This is a nightmare for our family.’ Tomasina said she and other family members had been desperately trying to contact Shani as well as her Mexican boyfriend, but they couldn’t get through. ‘We knew she was in the party, she didn’t answer,’ Tomasina said. Her parents said they had not heard from their daughter since a phone call early on October 7, just after Hamas launched their first rockets. But her family said they had since received information from her bank that Shani’s credit card had been used in Gaza.
The music festival attended by Shani became one of the initial targets in the terrorist group’s assault. Survivors recounted how the assailants methodically approached their victims, going from tree to tree. Disturbing video clips circulated on social media revealed festivalgoers hiding in the underbrush, whispering heartfelt farewells to their loved ones while witnessing the tragic killings one by one.
Many remained frozen in sheer terror for over five hours until the reassuring sounds of armed rescuers speaking Hebrew reached their ears. The Palestinian terrorist organization launched a surprise attack on the Nova festival, located near Kibbutz Re’im, in close proximity to the Gaza Strip, on October 7. On October 11, distressing dashcam footage captured the gunmen ruthlessly executing civilians lying in the sand, followed by rummaging through their belongings and bags in their vehicles.
In another widely circulated video on social media, a distressed woman can be heard screaming, “Don’t kill me!” as she is forcibly taken away on a motorcycle by an armed individual. This woman has been identified as Noa Argamani, a 25-year-old student who was abducted at the same open-air peace festival she had attended with her boyfriend near the border. Esther Borochov, who managed to escape from the rave party, shared her survival story, recounting how she pretended to be lifeless in a car after the driver attempting to help her was fatally shot at close range.
The streets of Sderot in southern Israel, near Gaza, were littered with the bodies of Israeli civilians, amid shattered glass and scenes of chaos. Among the victims, the lifeless forms of a woman and a man were sprawled across the front seats of a car. Shlomi from Sderot vividly described the harrowing sight: “I went out, and what I saw was an overwhelming number of casualties, including both terrorists and civilians. Cars were riddled with bullet holes, and bodies were strewn along Sderot’s roads and various other locations.”
Frightened Israelis, taking refuge in secure rooms, shared their harrowing experiences over live television broadcasts. Additional video footage depicted captured soldiers and civilians, some of whom had tragically lost their lives, being paraded through the streets of Gaza. Following mediation efforts by Qatar and Egypt, Hamas has, to date, released four hostages. On Monday, two elderly Israeli women regained their freedom, and on October 20, an American-Israeli woman and her daughter were also released.
