Remembering the Victims of the Lewiston, Maine Mass Shooting

In Lewiston, Maine, the tragic mass shooting claimed the lives of 18 individuals, with seven losing their lives at Sparetime Recreation bowling alley and eight at Schemengees Bar and Grille. Three other victims succumbed to their injuries in area hospitals. The shooter, Robert Card, was found dead on Friday.

According to Dubuc, Violette’s warm and welcoming demeanor left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered, and he had been a supportive presence for as long as he could recall.

4. Joseph Walker, 57

Joseph Walker served as the bar manager at Schemengees and was on duty when the tragic incident occurred on Wednesday. His passing was confirmed by a family member. Notably, Joseph Walker is the son of Leroy Walker, a member of the Auburn City Council.

5. Michael Deslauriers II, 51

Michael Deslauriers was bowling with loved ones at Sparetime Recreation when the tragic events unfolded. His father, Michael Deslauriers Sr., has confirmed his son’s passing. In a courageous act, Michael and a friend ensured the safety of their wives and several children before attempting to confront the assailant. Tragically, both men lost their lives in the process.

6. Peyton Brewer-Ross, 40

Peyton Brewer-Ross has been recognized as one of the victims of the tragic Lewiston shootings. His employer, Bath Iron Works, has officially acknowledged his passing. In their statement, Bath Iron Works described Peyton as an invaluable member of their team, noting that he joined their ranks just five years ago and had been leaving a positive mark on the company. His absence will be deeply felt.

7. Joshua Seal, 36

Joshua Seal served as a sign language interpreter for the Deaf community. The Maine Educational Center for the Deaf has officially verified his passing. According to his wife, Seal was participating in a cornhole tournament for Deaf athletes at Schemengees bar when the tragic incident occurred.

8. Billy Brackett, 48

Billy Brackett was present at the cornhole tournament hosted at Schemengees Bar & Grille when he tragically lost his life. His passing has been verified by the Maine Educational Center for the Deaf.

9. Bryan MacFarlane, 41

Bryan MacFarlane, aged 40, was engaged in the cornhole tournament for deaf athletes held at Schemengees Bar & Grille when he met a tragic fate. Keri, MacFarlane’s sister, shared that he had a deep passion for activities like motorcycle riding, camping, snowmobiling, fishing, and spending time with his Deaf friends. She also emphasized his special bond with his dog, M&M. In his professional life, MacFarlane worked as a truck driver.

10. Steve Vozzella, 45

Steve Vozzella was in attendance at the cornhole tournament designed for Deaf athletes at Schemengees Bar & Grille when the fatal incident transpired. His passing has been corroborated by the Maine Educational Center for the Deaf.

11. Arthur Strout, 42

Arthur Strout, a devoted father of five, tragically lost his life in the shooting at Schemengees Bar and Grille. As revealed by his father, Arthur had been engaging in a game of pool with his son at the bar on Wednesday evening, departing shortly before the unfortunate incident occurred.

12. Tricia Asselin, 53

Tricia Asselin was part of the Wednesday night bowling league at Sparetime, where she was having a great time with her sister and fellow participants when the assailant initiated the attack. Tragically, while attempting to seek help by dialling 911, Tricia was shot and lost her life.

13. Ronald G Morin, 55

Her family fondly remembers her as a dedicated mother who juggled three jobs and, on that fateful night, displayed remarkable selflessness that will forever define her legacy.

14. Maxx Hathaway, 35
